Description Vadim A. Misbakh-Soloviov (mva) gentoo-dev 2013-01-28 12:10:04 UTC
Despite of my real opinion, that portage should have normal multilib build support ( https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433511 ), It is very old bug, which causes many games (actually, all proprietary 32bit-only things) to segfault on gentoo-multilib.
Problem's roots in that fact, that last version of emul-linux-x86-soundlibs using pulseaudio-1.1, while latest stable *real* PA, that user has installed is 2.1.

More of that, users, who using ~amd64 has pulseaudio-3.0, while even if emul-linux-x86 maintainer will recompile emul-soundlibs with PA-2.1 — it'll still be unusable for ~amd64 users.

So, I also suggest to make ~amd64 version of soundlibs with actual (for ~amd64) versions of libs.

Reproducible: Always

Comment 0 means "all proprietary 32bit-only things, that tries to use either PA or ALSA, when user has PA enabled"
