I cannot install media-sound/rhythmbox-2.97 with the "cdr" USE flag enabled (which is the default, as I'm running the default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/gnome profile). If I try, emerge will install media-sound/rhythmbox-0.13.3 instead: # emerge -pv rhythmbox These are the packages that would be merged, in order: Calculating dependencies... done! Its because rhythmbox-2.97 has a depend on =app-cdr/brasero-3.4* but this conflicts with Gnome-core-apps which depends on >=app-cdr/brasero-3.6.1
Yes, this is to protect you from mixing gstreamer:1.0 and gstreamer:0.10 using applications. Just disable the USE flag for now. This is the same problem with USE=webkit in bug #450792. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 450792 ***
