Description Peter Silie 2013-01-20 20:30:05 UTC
Watching TV via DVB-C with kaffeine worked find for more then one year. But after last emerge it seems to be broken and responds with "no device".

It turned out that the DVB-C device is still in its usual place (/dev/dvb/adapter0). But kaffeine looks for it in "dvb/adapter0" now.

Note: This seems to be an old bug which has re-appeared now (see: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-924400-start-0.html)

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Peter Silie 2013-01-20 21:18:18 UTC
this happens with sys-fs/udev version 197-r3
Comment 2 Peter Silie 2013-01-20 21:20:51 UTC
workaround:

cd ~
ln -s /dev/dvb dvb
start kaffeine via command line

So you tested it with =sys-fs/udev-197-r3 (current stable) or something even newer and the problem is still there? So let's reuse the existing bug. I'll reopen it for you.
