well, you probably did not rebuild python:2.7

you will notice that it fails

please try again with tcl-8.6.0-r1. The initital version 8.6.0 was borked in some cases.

Fixed!  Thanks Justin.  That fix took just about four hours -- absolutely amazing.  Certainly a record for my own bug reports :)
