You receive this bug because this package does not respect my system's AR ( x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-ar - /usr/bin/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-ar ) and calls directly ar - /usr/bin/ar The possible solutions to fix this issue are: 1)Fix the buildsystem, if you can 2)inherit toolchain-funcs and use tc-export AR 3)inherit toolchain-funcs and use emake AR="$(tc-getAR)" ar cru libgts.a object.o point.o vertex.o segment.o edge.o triangle.o face.o kdtree.o bbtree.o misc.o predi iso.o isotetra.o split.o psurface.o hsurface.o cdt.o boolean.o named.o oocs.o container.o graph.o pgraph.o ar cru libbatch.a hid/batch/libbatch_a-batch.o ar cru liblpr.a hid/lpr/lpr.o ar cru libbom.a hid/bom/bom.o ar cru libgerber.a hid/gerber/gerber.o ar cru libps.a hid/ps/libps_a-ps.o hid/ps/libps_a-eps.o
