added the first, because of a request ( Bug 43144 ) The dev-cpp/commoncpp2 ebuild is better than mine, but the 'pp' sucks and the site moved to sourceforge. Please "merge" them to "dev-[?]"/commonc++2 [?] It's a bit irritating, to find dev-libs/commonc++ and dev-cpp/commoncpp2 in different categories. Another sample is the php ebuild. All languages are placed in dev-lang but the php devs put it in dev-php. Gentoo needs a better policy how to categorize ebuilds.
I agree with you on the php thing, cc'ing the php devs on board.
Yea yea, that old php underground thing.... :) I really don't care moving it to dev-lang, but let us php-bugs discuss it first.
which php packages do you propose to move? php mod_php php-cgi php-cvs ... (several other PHP sapi packages in the works)
All SAPIs i guess, to maintain consistency.
apache modules and cgi stuff usually goes into net-www/. proposed idea: php-cgi, mod_php -> net-www/ php, php-cvs -> dev-lang/
these ebuild duplicates could lead to dependency issues, should be fixed soon
since it was your mistake carlos, why don't you fix the commoncpp situation ;)
please don't mistake us lanius. carlos is a dev and me too ;) I don't feel that responsible because a) I wasn't a dev at the time and didn't committed it b) I'm doing already more stuff as originally intended c) it's a sunny day :) d) I'll find a reason d) if necessary ;) btw. i know about a particular dev who thought it would be a good idea to put the k3b monkey audio plugin into the k3b ebuild. I know of a related bug report, too. ;) Then again there is the license issue... :-/
removing php from the CC list (and we've had enough discussions about the php ebuilds).
removed dev-libs/commoncpp2 in favour of dev-cpp/commonc++2
