Description Thomas W. 2012-12-22 09:11:07 UTC
When usbredir is emerged without use flag static-libs, emerging qemu-user fails with

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.5.4/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lusbredirparser

When usbredir is emerged with static-libs set, emerging qemu-user works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. USE=-static-libs emerge -1 usbredir
2. emerge =app-emulation/qemu-user-1.0

Actual Results:
emerge fails with
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.5.4/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lusbredirparser
collect2: ld gab 1 als Ende-Status zurück
make[1]: *** [qemu-arm-binfmt] Fehler 1

Expected Results:
qemu-user is compiled correctly

qemu-user has been removed from the tree as its functionality has been superseded by the combined app-emulation/qemu package. if you find the qemu package does not support something that the qemu-user package did, please file a new bug explicitly detailing things so we can get it added.
