Bug 447222 – net-libs/xulrunner: New package to be used with monodevelop

Currently monodevelop request firefox and I think that is just wrong.

I think that would be sane to add standalone xulrunner back to tree for it. 
It must not conflict with firefox embedded xulrunner.

As stated on irc mozilla team does not have resources to support an xulrunner standalone installation when no system gre is avaliable. It is designed to be embedded into the application that is being used.

Sorry maybe I have added mozilla herd wrong. Added maintainer-wanted now.

Afaik XULRunner is the new version of the GRE.

Maybe I don't understand the trouble with gre, may you explain more the actual situation / trouble with gre?

monodevelop will not use it since new versions.
