Uhm I'm pretty sure I removed this from Portage just a couple of months ago. And unless the underlying problems are solved I doubt this should get back to Portage.
Yes, couple of months ago. What are the underlying problems ? Because Prelude is a good project, I really want it to get back in portage.
Mostly missing a dedicated maintainer in Gentoo and blocking the update of its dependencies because the versions in tree were completely out of date. So unless you want to volunteer to proxy maintain it, there's little luck of it coming back. If you do it's fine, unless for whatever reason you drop it later on and then it'll go through speedy deletion... So I would say there should be a more compelling reason than "it's a good project" to get it back in tree.

Just handle it in a single bug, they are either all coming in or none is coming in.
If it's a single bug, please link also bug 446293 and 446974. It's prelude-lml and libpreludedb
Yes, I want to volunteer to proxy maintain it. No problems to delete it if I don't do my job on it. Prelude is the first OpenSource SIEM (first release in 1998). It's used all over the world by enterprises and governments. I also use it. Nowadays, cybersecurity become a big subject and the SIEM help in the defense of the castle.
