Dustin are you still interested in maintaining this package?
(In reply to comment #1) > Dustin are you still interested in maintaining this package? Currently, I am quite busy with my job and I haven't heard anything from pva (who used to proxy me) on other bugs concerning autofs, so I wasn't eager to get things done as my work just sits here not going anywhere soon. I am still interested in doing work for this package to support Gentoo though. I will attach ebuild and the patchset, which I am using.

Dustin, sorry for being inactive (my life changed drastically and for more then year I had not time even to open Gentoo mail... only due to friends in Gentoo community I have not missed retirement :) ). Now I'm back to operation and I'm going to spend few hours per day on Gentoo and it's really nice to see that project evolves and people are still around :) That said if anybody from proxy-maint wishes to test and commit autofs to the tree you are welcome to do this. I need some time to update/setup separate environment for proxy-maint activities.

The package is also maintained by proxy-maint_at_gentoo_dot_org so send us an e-mail if you want us to act on an autofs bug in case we haven't noticed.
The ebuild diff did not apply so I had to do it manually. I also hosted the patchset in my devspace instead of putting it directly to mirrors per the new Gentoo policy There is also a new "mount-locking" use flag which must be described on metadata.xml. Dustin, can we have an appropriate description for this useflag?

I must have done something wrong in the hurry... > > There is also a new "mount-locking" use flag which must be described on > metadata.xml. > > Dustin, can we have an appropriate description for this useflag? You can find the patch for that in bug 411509, which otherwise then is obsolete. I mark it as duplicate of this one.
