Description poletti.marco 2012-11-21 11:00:10 UTC
The hdparm-9.39 ebuild installs the wiper.sh script as documentation, so it's stored in a bz2-compressed format and it's not executable. Also, it's in /usr/share/doc/hdparm-9.39/wiper/ rather than /usr/bin.

Reproducible: Always

wiper.sh is installed as a convenience. it can be dangerous, and shouldn't be used on a regular basis, and most likely is unnecessary with recent setups. so no, i don't think putting it into $PATH is what we want.
