Description Evan Teran 2012-11-14 19:53:03 UTC
The current version of gccxml in portage tends to barf on some system headers with messages like this:

/usr/include/bits/unistd.h: In function 'int gethostname(char*, size_t)':
/usr/include/bits/unistd.h:345: error: declaration of 'int gethostname(char*, size_t) throw ()' throws different exceptions
/usr/include/unistd.h:902: error: from previous declaration 'int gethostname(char*, size_t)'
/usr/include/bits/unistd.h: In function 'int getdomainname(char*, size_t)':
/usr/include/bits/unistd.h:374: error: declaration of 'int getdomainname(char*, size_t) throw ()' throws different exceptions
/usr/include/unistd.h:921: error: from previous declaration 'int getdomainname(char*, size_t)'

The problem being that two versions of the system headers have different (but compatible enough) throw specifications.

The latest git version of gccxml seems to have this resolved though. So it would be nice if we could get a version bump to dev-cpp/gccxml-0.9.0_pre20121114 (or whatever date seems to have the highest quality copy)

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Bernd Feige 2015-04-24 08:27:48 UTC
dev-cpp/gccxml-0.9.0_pre20131217 is in the tree for quite a while.

I'd like to request to update to current github master from It adds support for the current default compiler GCC 4.9.
Cf. bug report

Thanks and best regards,
