Actually caledonia consists of a whole suite with plasma, icon, colour scheme etc. and is among the best rated kde-look downloads. This kdm theme would be more complete with the matching caledonia ksplash theme, maybe I'll add that too. I've created an ebuild because the khotnewstuff part in systemsettings seems to be useless without root permissions and installing into /usr/share/ that way would be a mess anyway. Simple ebuild attached.
Package has moved to sourceforge. Author is not releasing versioned packages, but only "latest". Author has split it into 5+ tarballs. Author provides "graphical shell script for automatic download and install". In short, distribution packager's nightmare.

Seems it just downloads the tarballs, it doesn't do any installing. Wouldn't be possible for the ksplash part anyway, without root.

"Caledonia Art Suit" is default on Chakra so should be some sort of versioning around (non public?).
A search did only find something in their 'AUR' repo, nothing in their official package section: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O=0&K=caledonia&do_Search=Go They probably parse those version numbers from the author's deviantart page announcements. But unless there are properly versioned downloads, one thing we could do is fetch the tarballs at a given date, compare hashes, rename accordingly to yyyymmdd if there was a change and bump the ebuild.
Chakra doesn't use ArchLinux repositories anymore. http://chakra-linux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Repositories But using date for versio control is a good way in this case. Unfortunately I don't know how to write a ebuild so I can't help with that. :(
It seems the author has switched to releasing versioned packages. - Plasma Theme 1.6.2 - KDM 1.3 - Ksplash 1.3 - Wallpaper Collection 1.5 * Color-Scheme not versioned yet.

Thanks, I'm glad someone's interested! Things I am not so sure about with the ebuilds: - RDEPEND for caledonia-ksplash and caledonia-kdmtheme - does it make sense? - Make kdmtheme optional in the meta ebuild? Not everyone is using that, and it is going away in future kde releases

It's not fully obsolete. The plasma theme already works on plasma 5, also the colors and almost certainly everything will be updated by/for Caledonia but the KDM theme.
