Tried to update the system and got stuck on this package:
dev-tex/glossaries-3.02
I had previous version installed (glossaries-3.01), but deleted it in order to check whether I can install it or not or if there are any conflicts with the previous version. Now I cannot install that version too with exactly the same error:
 install: cannot stat '*.dict': No such file or directory
!!! doins: *.dict does not exist
 * ERROR: dev-tex/glossaries-3.02 failed (install phase):
 *   doins failed

output of emerge --info

It appeared that my tar.gz file with all the necessary logs was attached as a tex and now unusable. Sorry for that! I shall attach all files separately.

All the necessary files are in the attachments. I would like to notice, that it would be good to get a little bit more informatioon from that error message. Now it is kind of useless, because I don't know what dictionaries to use and where to get them. Right now I have several aspell dictionaries install, but, as far as I understand, this is completely different story.

It works for me.
What's the output of 'ls /var/tmp/portage/dev-tex/glossaries-3.02/work/glossaries/*.dict'?
Comment 7 Alexander O. Korotkevich 2012-10-14 23:36:47 UTC
There are no such files:
ls: cannot access /var/tmp/portage/dev-tex/glossaries-3.02/work/glossaries/*.dict: No such file or directory
