With python-3 set default, the encryption drop-down list is empty.

If python-3 is set default, then, when configuring WLAN connections, the wicd-client-kde encryption scheme drop-down list is empty. Setting the default to python-2 (with 'eselect python set') and restarting wicd and the widget "fixes" the problem.

The ebuild should be configured such so that it doesn't matter which python is set default; either that, or it should be made to work with either python-2 or python-3. python-3 is required by an increasing number of ebuilds, and yet many still expect python-2. Relying on the default python setting causes problems.

This bug has been reported upstream by a Gentoo user:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=297267

It was marked as "fixed", but this shouldn't happen in the first place.

With python-2 set default, the encryption drop-down list works...

After wicd and the client are restarted.
