the default ppc64 toolchain is not multilib. that means -m32 won't work and you won't get stubs-32.h.
So sys-libs/libspe2-2.2.80_p95-r1 cannot be built on a ppc64 system? Or should it depend on some toolchain useflags?
(In reply to comment #3) my guess is that the package requires multilib. we don't have a USE flag for this, but normally it's something we'd list in the no-multilib profile package.mask. for example, arch/amd64/no-multilib/package.mask is quite large as it lists everything that works on amd64 if you have a 32bit (x86) multilib available. let's CC the maintainers and see what they want to do with this.
