Description Alexandre 2012-08-12 21:47:11 UTC
net-irc/xchat-2.8.8-r2: after reboot it's connect but not join in a channel or join and shows nothing, also won't identify user - so not work property, unless ~/.xchat2 be removed before start xchat.

P.S. Same error with USE="-fastscroll"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start net-irc/xchat-2.8.8-r2, configure, use for while, then reboot;
2. Start xchat again and try to use, so get the malfunctioning;
3. Close xchat, remove ~/.xchat2, start xchat again and it's works fine.

Does it give you any useful output when you restart it without removing the configuration?
Comment 2 Alexandre 2012-08-13 15:59:46 UTC
This is the only message (with or without ~/.xchat2):

Gtk-Message: (for origin information, set GTK_DEBUG): failed to retrieve property `GtkRange::trough-side-details' of type `gboolean' from rc file value "((GString*) 0x81c760)" of type `GString'

***I cannot attached the strace file duo to size limits.

Strace file from xchat.

There is no need to build a tar archive for a single file.
