Hrm, so it all comes down to faxrm....I'm guessing both programs are pretty insistant that their version exists but we can check if the file is the same on both. In which case, we would split that file off into its own package and depend on it in both. Otherwise, is there a use case for mgetty and hylafax installed at the same time? Perhaps we can have an exclusion....
still an issue : info ----------------------------------------------------------------- This is an stable amd64 chroot image (named amd64-desktop-stable_20150810-165116) at a hardened host acting as a tinderbox. 5.5.4-r1 looks to already handle this
not really, or : ? * Detected file collision(s): * * /usr/share/man/man1/faxrm.1.bz2 * /usr/bin/faxrm * * Searching all installed packages for file collisions... * * Press Ctrl-C to Stop * * net-dialup/mgetty-1.1.37-r1:0::gentoo * /usr/bin/faxrm * /usr/share/man/man1/faxrm.1.bz2 * * Package 'net-misc/hylafaxplus-5.5.4-r1' NOT merged due to file * collisions. If necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole * content of the above message.
What USE flags do you have for both packages causing the collision?
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #6) ough - the hardware is gone in August this year, will try to force this with current again
