Crossroad I/O is a fork of 0MQ with two main developers continuing their working there. It would be nice to have it in portage. From its web page: Crossroads I/O … … is lego bricks for building scalable and high performance distributed applications. … is what BSD sockets might have looked like if designed for today's requirements. … is message based, and supports many different network protocols. … works with all programming languages, all operating systems. … is part of a wider effort to make messaging a standard part of the networking stack. … is Free Software licensed under the LGPL license. … is a fork of the ZeroMQ project.
Nice, thanks for putting that on my TODO list. I'm tracking Crossroads I/O more closely than ZeroMQ at this point, so I definitely want this in the tree. Eray, do you want to co-maintain this with me?
(In reply to comment #1) > Eray, do you want to co-maintain this with me? Sure. Just add me to the metadata.xml.
The Crossroads I/O project didn't go anywhere, and its successor project nanomsg is already in the tree.
