Still seeing this error in 8.21

Happens in test-getlogin as well.

Its peculiar, because it doesn't fail every run, fails randomly:

portage@localhost ~/sys-apps/coreutils-8.21/work/coreutils-8.21/gnulib-tests $ for i in {0..10}; do ./test-futimens; done

for i in {0..10}; do ./test-utimens; done

However, get-login fails consistently:

Well. That's a problem.

test-futimens.h:

line 127:
---
   if (check_ctime)
      ASSERT (ctime_compare (&st1, &st2) < 0);
---

line 153:
---
    if (check_ctime)
      ASSERT (ctime_compare (&st3, &st2) < 0);
---

Cool. So it gets 2 timestamps in their own function calls and expects certain things about it. No wonder it fails randomly.

Again, a test to see if your system clock keeps perfect time.

So the last 2 of these fails are unrelated to the getlogin one. But they're both dumb.

Good news!.

I can't reproduce this problem on 8.22-r1, and the only fault remaining is get-login , so I shall recommend this bug be marked resolved as soon as 8.22-r1 can be stabilized, and I'll file a new bug for test-getlogin.
