sometimes i'll see people use stuff like DEPEND=">=libevent-1.03" ...
the missing category should be caught and flagged

i just came across a nasty typo in celestia-1.4.0 where DEPEND looked like this:

kde? ( !gnome ( >=kde-base/kdelibs-3.0.4 ))

really nice proof why this should get fixed asap ;)
