sys-libs/zlib-1.2.5.1-r2 emerge fails with clang-3.1-r4, but with GCC all OK.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =sys-devel/clang-3.1-r4
2. Set CC="/usr/bin/clang" and CXX="/usr/bin/clang++" in /etc/make.conf
3. emerge -1q =sys-libs/zlib-1.2.5.1-r2

I also have issues with 1.2.5.1-r2, but 1.2.7 seems to work. Can you give that a shot?

Yes, it works. But it's unstable )

It should not be too difficult to backport the fix from 1.2.7, although I consider that to be a low priority.

This is breaking the installcd building on x86.
If this is fixed on a newer version, please get that version marked stable.

Can anyone still reproduce this?

Testing fine too here with clang-3.3-r100, and 1.2.7 is stable everywhere now
