So Glib/MakeHelper.pm is in
/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.4/x86_64-linux/
but perl looks in:
/usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.4/x86_64-linux-thread-multi

That means: You changed the "ithreads" useflag of dev-lang/perl.
You rebuilt dev-lang/perl with USE=ithreads after installing dev-perl/glib-perl.

dev-lang/perl printed a warning, that you had to run perl-cleaner after changing the ithreads setting:
"Use: perl-cleaner --modules ; perl-cleaner --force --libperl"

This should fix your problem.

However, the dependencies of dev-perl/Gtk2-Ex-Simple-List are wrong too. I am going to fix them.

You're right. Dang! Evidently missed that warning.

Ended up fixing this particular thing by re-emerging (in order) Cairo, Pango, gtk2-perl. Will run that command nevertheless, just in case. :)

Thanks!
