As the title says, x11-drivers/xf86-video-virtualbox fails to build with error: error: invalid conversion from ‘void*’ to ‘RTHEAPSIMPLEBLOCK*’ [-fpermissive] epatch'ing the attached patch inside src_prepare() of xf86-video-virtualbox-4.1.14.ebuild fixes the problem. Similar for 4.1.12, (at different file) I'm using amd64 gentoo, but ~amd64 gentoo-sources (3.4.2-r1). xf86-video-virtualbox-fpermissive.patch file contains the patch attached first to the bug. I tested, and it works fine. I don't say the fpermissive switch for the gcc is a good fix, but it works, and it's better to use this hack, than having a broken stable ebuild in the portage tree. As I can see this coding problem is fixed by upstream in 4.1.16.
