This is happening on both systems I've tried it on... not sure if it's jpilot or portage, but I'm looking into it...

$ emerge -Uv jpilot
... merges fine...

'emerge unmerge jpilot && emerge -v jpilot' managed to get it installed... I still have the other system to mess with to figure out what the problem is...

doesn't seem its jpilot specific? in any case, the correct herd is pda and not mobile.
