I know topic of qmail/netqmail was discussed manytimes. Yes, I looked at postfix but its still like configure spaceship. In length of time many people (even me) find netqmail still handy and powerfull MTA and develops many patches. Now I am playing with http://opensource.interazioni.it/qmail/chkuser.html patchset within modified ebuild of netqmail-1.05-r8, which covers checking all the recipient and sender stuff internally by Qmail itself without need any other scripting via qmail-spp (is not supported by this patch)and it behaves really awesome. Is there any chance or good will to implement this patch to newer versions of netqmail? I am not programmer by myself but this patch really makes netqmail adult modern MTA without too much pain. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. modified netqmail-1.05-r8 ebuild to build netqmail with smtp-auth+tls+checkuser+bigdns+trim-doublebounce patchset. 2. I am not strong in scripting to write functionnal netqmail-1.06. 3. swap chkusr_pg within qmail-spp with this integrating patch Actual Results: Having functional netqmail this way and its really fast with vpopmail. Even it can handle secondary MX domains without mess it with primary Expected Results: having functional 1.06 this way officaly in portage (even optional) works nicely
Did upstream update the patch to apply to netqmail-1.06? If not, that needs to happen first.
