Description Rick Warner 2004-02-10 14:07:42 UTC
emerge on festival worked fine (festival 1.4.2-r3), but the
saytime script that is created runs exec on
/var/tmp/portage.../work/.../bin/festival instead of /usr/bin/festival

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge festival
2.run saytime
3.watch failure to execute blah blah blah
Actual Results:
saytime didn't work

Expected Results:
executed /usr/bin/festival and said the time

should not be needed for this, email me if it is

1.4.3 seems to be working for me... I'll check out the older versions...

festival-1.4.2-r* are really broken. 1.4.3 is stable in x86 now and will hopefully be stable in sparc soon so I can remove the 1.4.2 ebuilds.

removed the 1.4.2-r3 ebuild from portage as it is out of date, includes speech-tools which was broken off into its own package, and is broken.

this is fixed in 1.4.3
