The homepage and download URL of net-im/python-otr-0.2.1.1 have changed. The old domain, as it's contained in the ebuild, now redirects to Github, where the author of the program hosts new versions. The old versions are still available, but under a different domain: -HOMEPAGE="http://pyotr.pentabarf.de/" -SRC_URI="http://pyotr.pentabarf.de/releases/${P}.tar.gz" +HOMEPAGE="http://python-otr-old.pentabarf.de/" +SRC_URI="http://python-otr-old.pentabarf.de/releases/${P}.tar.gz" This is surely no big problem, as the file is still available on the Gentoo mirrors, but more a cosmetic issue. Reproducible: Always
should this be used as new source? https://github.com/afflux/pure-python-otr
I'm not sure if we should keep this package at all. The gajim-otr-plugin can now be installed via gui including the python-potr-code and it's non-trivial to make a gentoo package (some path issues). I don't know, is anyone actually using the old python-otr code?
The only user of this package I'm aware of is gajim's otr plugin, and that ships a bundled version. Let's treeclean the ebuild.
Package removed, no longer needed as gajim provides plugin installation with bundled otr code.
