openvpn fails to start, log complains about /sbin/ifconfig. Apparently this was moved out of /sbin by the latest net-tools.  Regressed to earlier net-tools and openvpn starts.

Reproducible: Always




I looked through the bugs, seems like I would not be the first ...

I believe a workaround is to rebuild openvpn after you upgrade sys-apps/net-tools, or simply enable the iproute2 USE flag of openvpn.

Thanks for the  advice, a simple rebuild worked. I should have tried that first.
