I also wanted to have windows on the same hdd so i part like this : /dev/hda1 /Boot /dev/hda2 swap /dev/hda3 / /dev/hda4 Windows Ntfs First i've installed windows on it partition. Then i've download the 2 cd GRP install cd set for AMD Athlon Xp. I did like into the install handbook. I choose to do a stage 3 install. All went well till the kernel compilation. I first tryed to compile the gentoo-sources '.... but it always quits when make bzImage' So i tryed with vanilla-sources but same problem. Then i tryed to do it manually with both sources but when make dep && make bzImage modules modules.install this error stopped the process : Internal compiler error : Error reporting routines re-entered..... .....segmentation fault make[3]: *** [cdrom.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/linux-2.4.22/drivers/cdrom/ make[2]: *** [first_rule] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory '/usr/src/ puis FAILED...
