REXML is a pure Ruby XML parser, including a tree parser, a SAX2 parser, a pull parser, and full XPath support. I'm the author of REXML, and this submission is a Portage package for the software. I recommend that this go in the dev-ruby package/schema. This tarball contains digests, a changelog, and two ebuilds; one for the stable, and one for the development release of REXML. The versioning mechanism follows the Linux kernel conventions; odd minor revisions are development releases. That said, this development release (2.3.6) is stable enough and has enough extra features over 2.2.x that I'd recommend using it as the default; I think most of the REXML users do. 2.3.6 will likely be retagged as 2.4.0, but considering how long it takes ebuild contributions to get unmasked, I wanted to get this out there ASAP. Thanks!
