When you assign the calculator key to open a program like kcalc, it does not trigger even though it looks like the key was captured when you make the shortcut assignment. This is likely a bug on kdelibs 4.8 as well since this is an open bug in the kde bug track system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Assign the calculator key on a keyboard to open a program either through edit applications or settings->shortcuts. Actual Results: Press the calculator key and nothing happens Expected Results: Press the calculator key and a program opens like kcalc if it is assigned as such.
Created attachment 303513 [details, diff] kdelibs-4.7.4-calculator_key.patch I have tested this patch on 4.7.4-r12 and it appears to fix the problem. The patch originates from the kde bug.
