I am already planning to look at it (I also checked out changelog on their page already). Planning to put it into ~arch asap although I have a bit limited time on my hands at the moment. Maybe I can squeeze it in at work since we do have a dbmail server too ^ ^
just FYI I didn'T forget just was quite busy. And this also requires some deps. I will see if I can put a test - ebuild in my dev overlay later today or tomorrow.
I got a compiling ebuild in my overlay now. feel free to test and let me know. I will see if I can do some tests tomorrow.

you can add it with layman (with git support) http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/overlays/userguide.xml the command is layman -a lordvan It would be a great help if you could test it since I am quite busy with work at the moment and haven'T had a chance yet -- also the more tests the better ;)
has someone tested this already? I myself am having some (db migration i think) issues so I am reluctant to put it in the main tree

FYI: The latest ebuild in my overlay is working just fine now. I am going to test it a bit more before putting it in the live tree though. please let me know if you have tested it already too.
commited libzdb to the tree yesterday and will also add dbmail 3.0 soon too (checking something about libzdb autobuild - see bug #251063
3.0.2 is in the main tree now.
