Trying to make an world update. It got to glibc and wont pass due to failed checks. Isn't there anyone that can give us a hint where the problem might lie? This is a production box which haven't been updated in months now due to this problem. I notice the status beeing NEEDINFO. What kind of info?

Could either one of you please attach the config.log that would have been produced in the work directory?

looks to me like your gcc lacks multilib support. you can verify by doing: echo 'main(){}' | gcc -x c - -m32 if that fails, your gcc doesn't support multilib, so building glibc w/multilib won't work. you must install gcc with multilib support, or don't use a multilib setup.
