This samba is required for the win7 and smb2 support.
It is currently only package I have to keep keyworded on my htpc so it works nicely with stable systems.

If needed I can post list of minimal required packages that needs to go to stable but I would rather like to see you doing your list :)

that version doesn't exist in portage, did you mean 0.9.12?

Тhe discretion of the maintainer, of course. I'm not tevent mantainer.

still missing =net-fs/cifs-utils-5.3 ~amd64

did it anyway, pulls up with use=cluster.

@samba team: so it's ok to stabilize =net-fs/cifs-utils-5.3 and =dev-db/ctdb-1.13 too?

The stabilization will continue in bug 411487
