bug-buddy does not build libgnomesegvhandler for gtk-3. This means any application using gtk-3 will issue the following and not handle crashes nicely: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gnomesegvhandler" It appears a working patch was implemented in the gnome overlay but never moved to the main tree. Reproducible: Always
(In reply to comment #0) > It appears a working patch was implemented in the gnome overlay but never moved > to the main tree. As the author of that patch, I can assure you it was experimental, very much unfinished, and unsuitable for inclusion in the main tree. Bug-buddy appears to be an abandoned project. Unless upstream suddenly decides to restart its development, I suggest using app-admin/abrt.
Thank you for the information. I opened this bug mostly as a suggestion and I understand your position completely. I've never seen anything ugly-fail due to a lack of bug-buddy. Interestingly enough it was a GTK-3-only application that complained. Also, for the record, your patch seems to work exactly as it should.
People need to use abrt with gnome3
