Pls see thread: http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.freedesktop.xorg.drivers.intel/7965 Successful patch available there.
sorry for the noise! the patch there is against the kernel, not for libdrm ... sorry
The bug still exists with gentoo-sources-3.2.1. Could apply patch successfully.

And still not fixed in 3.2.9. I don't understand, did Linus not yet pull the patches from the libdrm-folks?
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git;a=commit;h=c898261c0dad617f0f1080bedc02d507a2fcfb92 If I understand correctly, the fix will only be in kernel 3.3.
Patch is available in kernels >= 3.2.7
(In reply to comment #7) > Patch is available in kernels >= 3.2.7 What do you mean? ">=gentoo-sources-3.2.7 will contain this patch from now on" ? thanks
Any kernel which has a version number that is greater than or equal to 3.2.7 will contain the patch fix.
(In reply to comment #9) > Any kernel which has a version number that is greater than or equal to 3.2.7 > will contain the patch fix. It didn't so far. So I am looking forward to new gentoo-sources. Thanks.
