Description Johannes Buchner 2012-01-02 14:12:18 UTC
I am running akonadi 1.6.2, kmail 4.7.3 and have a very similar issue as in Bug
#250039: Creating an IMAP resource fails and KMail crashes/exits on startup.
I tried to clean up akonadi but it still has this 'Failed to request resource
"akonadi_maildir_resource_0"' issue.
What can I do?

Reproducible: Always

Comment 2 Johannes Buchner 2012-01-02 14:14:30 UTC
The main error message is:
Akonadi::SpecialCollectionsRequestJobPrivate::resourceScanResult: Failed to
request resource "akonadi_maildir_resource_0" : "Unknown error. (Failed to
fetch the resource collection.)"

Report upstream and link here back.
Comment 4 Johannes Huber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-02 15:04:07 UTC
Oh i see that you have already a upstream bug report, which says INVALID...

Please have a look at the KDEPIM Upgrade Guide: http://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=KDEPIM-4.7_upgrade .

What info can I contribute to debug this better?
I don't have any files that I want to keep, I just want to initialize akonadi+kmail+1 imap account from scratch. As you see from the log I try to delete directories that may be tainted.
Comment 6 Johannes Huber (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2012-01-02 15:32:05 UTC
In the upgrade guide you can find all relevant folders.
Comment 7 Johannes Buchner 2012-01-02 15:39:38 UTC
Thanks Johannes. I deleted all the files/folders mentioned in the KDEPIM Upgrade Guide, but am still having the exact same issue.
