Is it OK to stabilize =dev-ada/asis-gcc-4.2.2 ? If so, please CC arches and add STABLEREQ keyword. Stabilization of this package has been repoman-checked on the following arches: x86, amd64
Maintainer timeout (30 days). Arches please go ahead.
I know that failure of stable packages should not be a blocker, but sine gnat-gcc fails to compile ( bug 402157 ), I'm unable to proceed to test. Feel free to readd amd64 when all is ready.
I would advise against stabilizing the 4.2. The matching gnat is obsolete and I was planning to pull it from the tree once I deal with outstanding bugs for gnat-gcc-4.3 and 4.4. However, at the time I worked on asis, the latest sources that were available only covered 4.2 backend, so I could not advance asis. Now, however AdaCore released new versions - the 2010 and 2011 are based on 4.3 and 4.5 backends, which should let me add asis-4.3 at least. I think it should be possible to make 4.4 work as well.
