Description phaidros 2004-01-27 17:06:15 UTC
if cdrtools compiled without dvdr, cdrdao 1.1.7-r3 won't compile.
cdrdao 1.1.7-r3 is needed by k3b 0.11.1.
Comment 1 Lars Weiler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-27 20:01:41 UTC
Couldn't reproduce on my iBook (G3). I used cdrtools-2.01_alpha25 and cdrdao-1.1.7-r3 without the dvdr-flag set.

Could you copy here the output of emerge info, so that I can verify your use-flags? And, what is more important, the error-message of compiling cdrdao?
Comment 2 phaidros 2004-01-28 02:07:07 UTC
when I compiled cdrtools-2.01_alpha25 without USE dvdr: emerge of cdrdao configures and begins to compile, on a certain point its missing /usr/lib/libscg.a [-lscg not found.. error while compile].

Hmm, I verified it once again. The /usr/lib/libscg.a will be installed with cdrtools, regardless of the dvdr-flag.

Can you look, if this file is installed or if cdrtools installed it (with qpkg -l cdrtools | grep libscg)?
Comment 4 phaidros 2004-01-30 00:05:24 UTC
once compiled cdrtools with just "dvd" the lib is not created, compiled whith "dvdr" its created.
I have don this twice. I'll check again after weekend, need the booky for work now.

Did you checked again? I still have no problems on my x86 and ppc. And I rebuilded the packages several times with all possibilities of USE-flags.

It seems to be the same problem like in bug 30798. I'll mark this one as a duplicate.
