PCManFM fails to enter directories with a "#" mark (possibly also other special chars?) if they are on a CIFS/SMB share (WinXP, even on a smb://localhost/myshare on current samba, so the server part does not seem to be to blame...) when the gvfs backend is used. No problem whatsoever if the directory is entered on the local box w/o samba. gvfs also does not seem to be to blame as using the ~/.gvfs/someshare on someserver alternative DOES work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Browse to smb://someserver/someshare in PCManFM 2. Try to enter a directory containing a "#" mark (e.g. 40#Istanbul) Actual Results: Get error message "No such file or directory" Expected Results: Should have entered the directory Most likely an upstream bug. Just wanted to first report it here.
Thanks for the report. However, like you said, this needs to be reported upstream. If you report it to upstream developers, please paste the link here so we can track the progress of this bug. Thank you
Please test the latest versions in portage and report it upstream if it stills fails for you
