Description Kai Damm 2011-12-09 09:47:38 UTC
Documents with non-ascii characters in filename are displayed incorrectly in nepomuk search results.

KDE bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271664

Downgrade to =dev-db/virtuoso-server-6.1.2 and re-indexation of affected files solves the problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document with an umlaut in the filename. Choose a long filename to make the search easier.
2. Wait until strigi indexes the document.
3. Search for the file with the desktop search (Alt-F2)
Actual Results:
The filename is displayed wrong (with ? instead of umlauts)

Expected Results:
Correct display of filename.

This problem ist known, there was a patched 6.1.3-r1.ebuild (that never went stable), which was removed with 6.1.4-release (24 Nov 2011), leaving an unpatched stable virtuoso-server in the tree.

Yes that ugly bug managed to slip under the radar somehow.

Arches please stabilize dev-db/virtuoso-server-6.1.4
Target: amd64 ppc ppc64 x86

Maciej, please add if something is missing...
Comment 4 Andreas K. Hüttel archtester gentoo-dev 2011-12-10 17:33:30 UTC
Eww. Please wait. This has ugly side effects wrt dependencies.

Next try.

Arches please stabilize dev-db/virtuoso-server-6.1.3-r2
Identical to a version that was only recently removed, so the 30days rule does not really apply.

Thank you all. Seems that forgot to close the bug. We are done here.
