Try rebuilding net-nds/openldap then emerging dev-db/postgresql-server.
yes, thx, this fixes the build. strange, revdep-rebuild ( cave fix-linkage) didn't pick this up. is there a reason why it uses ldap? didn't see it in the dependencies list in the ebuild.

PostgreSQL can use LDAP to get various bit of authentication information.
