After I upgraded gnucash to version 1.8.8, gnucash's reports show everthing zero (every account, assets, etc). Before it worked fine. I reinstalled everything, emerge sync and emerge gnucash but didn't help. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create some account (asset and expense) http://linux.thai.net/Members/poonlap/gnucash1.png 2. When I run report something, for example, reports->summary, it shows incorrect information. http://linux.thai.net/Members/poonlap/gnucash2.png Before upgrading gnucash, it was OK. I couldn't remember the version. I tried reinstalling everything (the whole system) but didn't help. Actual Results: The report show zero for every accounts. Expected Results: The report should show correct number. freedom gnucash # emerge info Portage 2.0.49-r21 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.2.3, glibc-2.3.2-r1, 2.4.22-gentoo-r5) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.22-gentoo-r5 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) III Mobile CPU 1133MHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.3.8p1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium3 -fprefetch-loop-arrays -funroll-loops -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium3 -fprefetch-loop-arrays -funroll-loops -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.ecc.u-tokyo.ac.jp/GENTOO http://ftp.gentoo.or.kr/ http://www.zentek-international.com/mirrors/gentoo/ http://gentoo.gg3.net/ http://gentoo.ccccom.com" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X alsa apm arts avi berkdb bonobo cjk crypt cups doc dvd encode esd foomaticdb gdbm gif gnome gpm gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile imlib java jpeg kde libg++ libwww mad mikmod motif mozilla mpeg mysql ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png postgres python qt quicktime readline ruby sdl slang spell ssl svga tcpd tiff truetype x86 xml2 xmms xv zlib"
what if you try and older version? is the problem specific to 1.8.8 or all versions?
I reinstall gnucash with the version 1.8.4 but it couldn't help also.
Dear moderator, I have just found that I use POSIX locale while the currency in Gnucash is Japanese. If I set LC_MONETARY to Japanese, it is OK. I'm sorry for confusion. It seems not the bug.
