after upgrading to net-tools 1.60_p201111202031570500 the wicd (version 1.7.1_beta2-r7) is unable to get ip address (for both wireless and wired connection). reverting back to net-tools 1.60_p20110820045617 fixes the problem. after quick look through the logs, it seems to me ifconfig is to blame (don't know why, thou)... tested on both x86 and amd64. i suggest reverting the ~arch keyword from the offending version until things are solved. ...ask for more info if needed. Reproducible: Always
