Description Jonas Perleryd 2004-01-22 19:54:02 UTC
It seems as qt > 3.2.2r1 should be added as requirment to the kde3.2-beta2 and newer ebuilds. With qt-3.2.1 and qt-3.2.2 some problems with closing konquerer and other kde apps has been observed. In the current ebuilds the requirment is qt > 3.2.0. This problem was not see with kde-alpha1 and qt3.2.1.

The problem is that the CPU consumption goes to 100% and stays there. Manually restarting kded helps temporarily, but the problem comes back the next time any konquerer windows is closed.

Not sure why, but upgrading qt seems to help

See thread http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?p=800491#800491

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge kde 3.2-beta2 with qt 3.2.1
2. Log into KDE and start/stop konquerer (sometimes a few times).
3.

Actual Results:
Observe how the CPU monitor goes to 100% (X, kded and kwin takes about 33% each)

qt 3.2.3 is a requirement for the 3.2 series, so i'm closing this.
