Have multiple LVM volume in fstab with user flag. I see them in nautilus But when clicking one of them, I've the message : "Timeout waiting for mount to appear" Although, the volume is actually mounted, and I've the notification in gnome The mounted volume appears twice in nautilus sidebar: In peripherals as unmounted In Computer with the eject button. With external devices, I've NOT the same problem

this may be related to https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313047 > I'm using lvm2, udisks and gnome-disk-utility from gnome overlay, and my lvm2 > volume group is not shown in palimpsest (the gui of gnome-disk-utility), whilst > it should. is palimpsest working for you?
> is palimpsest working for you? I wasn't know palimset. I just discover it, and I just see all my lvs but without any informations (no label, unidentified system ...) I see the entire disk and the pvs but not my vgs at all I don't know what I can expect in palimpsest But my problem in nautilus is LVM Logical Volumes related.
I've run a simple test: - I create a logical volume (lvm2) called test First change: all my vgs became visible in palimpset - I do mkfs.ext2 in this test lv and: It appears in nautilus. If I click on it, I'm prompted for roor password, and the volule is just fine mounted, with the eject button. - I reboot, and this test lv disapears in nautilus So, poncho, you're right, the two bugs are related. I remember that alls the lvs was visibles when I've tried gnome3 livecd.
Another test: vgchange --refresh makes all lvm volumes visible in nautilus The ones are in fstab with user can be mounted without granting the others needs password And all are mounted / unmouted just fine.
What is the status of this with Gnome 3.8, systemd and latest lvm2?
(In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #7) > What is the status of this with Gnome 3.8, systemd and latest lvm2? I can not reproduce this issue anymore. Feel free to close this bug.
Thanks for feedback (will close as TEST-REQUEST for the reporter)
