FFmpeg >=0.8 was masked since 23 Jun 2011, in the package.mask there is a info 'has the same features as 0.7.1' which isn't correct. FFmpeg 0.8 does support 10bit h264 video, its needed to build mplayer with ffmpeg 0.8 in order to get support for it, some vidios with 10bit does not even start, others are badly corrupted by artefacts, after merging new ffmpeg and rebuild mplayer, everything works without issues.

I'm all for it, but we'll need to check every rev dep.

Diego, could you please make a ~arch tinderbox run with ffmpeg-0.8 unmasked ? (api __should__ be the same as libav 0.7 though)

So is media-libs/celt the only masked dependency remaining?

As a workaround, install libav instead, 0.8_pre20110818 is in ~arch.

well, it seems its not possible to get a tinderbox run for this, all programs i use seem fine, i'll proceed with unmasking soon.
