I tried to install a gentoo linux on a WmWare Workstation 4.0 virtual machine, but when I try to perform fdisk /dev/sda (wmware simulate a SCSI 0:0 disk) to create partition i receceive the message "unable to open /dev/sda". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a windows 2000 workstation with wmware workstation 4.0 installed. 2. Run a virtual machine with 128 MB Ram and 4GB disk, put the cd1 in the cd rom for autoboot 3. After boot finished, at the command promp (logged as root) try fdisk /dev/sda Actual Results: the fdisk command returns the message unable to open /dev/sda (I tryed a lot of combinations sdb sdc, hda, hdb, ecc. ecc. Expected Results: Runnning fdisk on sda disk

Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
