Description Evan Plumlee 2011-10-19 15:44:48 UTC
app-misc/dateutils compiles correctly, but it errors out with a file-collision on installation.

 * Detected file collision(s):
 *
 * 	/usr/bin/tcal
 * 	/usr/lib/debug/usr/bin/tcal.debug
 *

The problem is resolved when I first remove app-misc/gcal-3.6 then emerge app-misc/dateutils-0.1.5

Comment 1 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2011-10-19 17:21:34 UTC
The dateutils project on github was started only six weeks ago, so we can hope that it's still possible for them to rename the binary.

Maybe dateutils's upstream isn't even aware of this file collision?
Comment 2 Evan Plumlee 2011-10-19 17:44:03 UTC
I suggest tagging gcal and dateutils as blocking each other until such time as dateutils upstream clears up the issue.
Comment 3 Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2011-10-19 20:17:10 UTC
tcal has been renamed to tconv in the upstream git repo: <https://github.com/hroptatyr/dateutils/commit/13ed6386>
Comment 4 Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2011-10-21 17:49:55 UTC
Fixed in CVS.
